KDP supporting a peaceful and democratic solution to Syrian crisis

Hawrami Hawrami received a British diplomatic delegation headed by Mr. Ankus Maki.

The Head of Kurdistan Democratic Party's foreign relations office discussed the current political developments in the region and highlighted efforts in forming the regional government.

In another meeting with a United Nations delegation, Mr. Hawrami received Rena Akron to talk of attempts in resolving the ongoing crisis in Syria and easing tensions in accordance with the constitution, between Erbil and the central government in Baghdad.

Mr. Hawrami said the KDP supports the Geneva2 Conference emphasis on finding peaceful solutions for Syria's conflict.

Britain and the UN have praised the stability of Kurdistan and stressed for support from both sides.
