Egyptian ambassador praised the culture of coexistence and stability enjoyed by everyone residing in the Kurdistan region.

President Masoud Barzani received Walid Muhammad Ismail, Egyptian Ambassador to Iraq.

 

At the meeting, attended also by the Egyptian Consul General in Erbil, highlighted the historical relations between the Kurdistani people and the Egyptian people, stressing the strengthening of friendship between the two sides and the development of cultural, academic and political relations.

 

During the meeting, the visiting delegation praised the culture of coexistence and stability enjoyed by everyone residing in the Kurdistan region, while praising the great historical role of President Masoud Barzani in leading the Kurdistani people's struggle for freedom and liberty.

 

Among the topics discussed at the meeting was also the issue of the threat of terrorism and the latest political developments and security situation, as well as other issues which have impact on the the wider region.
