President Barzani Receives the Czech Ambassador to Iraq

On Tuesday, President Masoud Barzani welcomed Mr. Jan Shnaidauf, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Iraq, at his residence in Salahaddin. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Karl Kurtanek, the Consul General of the Czech Republic in Erbil.

During the meeting, Ambassador Shnaidauf extended his congratulations to President Barzani on the occasion of Kurdistan Flag Day and praised the successful conduct of the Kurdistan parliamentary elections last October. He expressed optimism about the ongoing efforts to form a new cabinet for the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG). The Ambassador also emphasized the strong ties between the Czech Republic and the Kurdistan Region, affirming his country's readiness to further enhance cooperation across various sectors.

President Barzani congratulated Ambassador Shnaidauf on his new appointment and wished him success in his mission. He reflected on the historical friendship between the Kurdish and Czech peoples and expressed hope for further strengthening of bilateral relations. Addressing the political developments in the Kurdistan Region, President Barzani reiterated the importance of continued dialogue among political parties, expressing optimism that such efforts would lead to positive outcomes in the formation of the new KRG cabinet, respecting the parties' contributions and merits.
