Masrour Barzani receives former president of UN General Assembly

The Chancellor of Kurdistan Region Security Council Masrour Barzani received a delegation headed by the former foreign minister of Serbia and former president of the United Nations General Assembly, Mr Vuk Jeremić, in a joint meeting attended by Hemin Hawrami, head of Kurdistan Democratic Party’s foreign relations office.

Mr Jeremić said he was pleased to visit Kurdistan and meet with Mr Barzani. He expressed his sympathy for the tragedy suffered by the Kurdish people, while praising the fortitude for their legitimate rights and hoped the expectations of the Kurds for living in peace, progresses successfully.

Mr Barzani, the Chancellor of Kurdistan Region Security Council, welcomed the delegation and offered his appreciation for their support of the Kurdish campaign of legitimate rights and for their recognition of suffering throughout the years of struggle and suffering at the hands of dictatorial regime.

The two sides also touched in the overall situation in the Kurdistan-Region, developments in the Middle East and on international relations
