President Masoud Barzani welcomes Bafel Jalal Talabani.

At the meeting, they evaluated the general situation and the current issue in the region, emphasized the unity of the Kurdistani people and the unification of efforts to solve the problems and serving the people of Kurdistan. 

In another part of the meeting, the new period of Iraq post the elections for the Iraqi House of Representatives, the importance of one Kurdistani voice in Baghdad was considered necessary. The  enthusiasm from PUK and PDK for unity and harmony was emphasized on a joint national project based on national interests for all political issues and the formation of a joint program for both sides to deal with the forming the next Iraqi government. Also, establishing the principles of partnership in governing and implementing people's demands and achieving stability.
