KDP FRO discuss bilateral relations with Bulgarian Agrarian People’s Union

Hemin Hawrami received a delegation from the Bulgarian Agrarian People’s Union (BAPU) headed by its leader, Mr Spas Panchev who is a member of the Bulgarian Parliament.

 

Mr Hawrami, head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party’s Foreign Relations Office, welcomed the delegation and briefed on Kurdistan history and the political process since the KDP’s founding by the immortal leader, Mulla Mustafa Barzani.

 

Mr Hawrami spoke of the Anfal operations and the chemical bombardment on the Kurdish people by the former tyrannical regime of Iraq, and requested for the Bulgarian Parliament to recognise those crimes against the Kurds as genocide.

 

Their meeting, which was attended by FRO members, the two sides discussed the opening of a Bulgarian Consulate in the Kurdistan Region, and it was stated that KDP relations will provide the pathway to inaugurate consular services.

 

Mr Panchev and his delegation praised political developments in the region in addition to the security, stability and democratic substructure including the efforts of the FRO for their onward progress in bilateral relations.
