President Masoud Barzani welcomes the Head of the European Mission Cooperation Office

On Saturday, November 20, 2021, President Masoud Barzani welcomes Ms. Marie Paret, Head of the European Mission Office in Kurdistan.

 

The meeting discussed the political situation in Iraq, the aftermath of the Iraqi parliamentary elections and the new political equations in Iraq's political arena.

 

At the meeting, the head of the European Union's coordination office in the Kurdistan Region described the Iraqi parliamentary elections as an example of success if all sides work together. President Barzani thanked the role of the United Nations and the European Union in the process of helping and monitoring the elections.

 

The threat of terrorism and the situation in Syria were other topics of the meeting.
