Message to the people of Kurdistan from H.E Nechirvan Barzani.

"Fellow citizens, I urge you to stay confident and be reassured that we will defeat terrorists threatening to hinder our peace and freedom.

People of Kurdistan, be reassured and patient our brave Peshmerga in Sinjar are defeating militants as well as in Makhmour.

The Kurdistan Regional Government stores their faith in the Peshmerga, that it can and will combat anything that stands in the way of our security.

I ask the people of Kurdistan not to be concerned in any way, and to remain in their homes and to continue with their normal lives.

We promise the people of Kurdistan that we will strike at terrorists and we will eliminate those risks to the people of the Kurdistan region.

We call on all people of Kurdistan to be in good spirit as always as we stand on the blessed soil of our region.
