Kurdistan Regional President Massoud Barzani’s letter to Hassan Rouhani, president of Islamic Republic of Iran.

The letter said:

In my name and on behalf of the people of Kurdistan, I thank you for the support you have provided to my region. Your assistance proves that the Islamic Republic of Iran is a close acquaintance of ours and the friendly people of Kurdistan are much appreciative.

I am confident that the relations of friendship, mutual assistance and cooperation, deepen the bonds of fraternity between the peoples of Kurdistan and Iran.
