Yhe Kurdistan Democratic Party Foreign Relations Office organized a remarkable two-day winter excursion for members of the diplomatic community in the Kurdistan Region, offering a unique blend of natural beauty, cultural immersion, and warm Kurdish hospitality.

The trip began with a scenic drive toward Korek Mountain Resort, a breathtaking destination nestled just 12 km from Soran and 95 km from Erbil International Airport. The highlight of the journey was the state-of-the-art 4 km teleferic system, one of the longest and most advanced cable cars in the region. As guests ascended the snow-covered peaks in a mesmerizing 12-minute ride, they were treated to panoramic vistas of Kurdistan’s pristine winter landscape, creating an unforgettable first impression.
