A Message from President Barzani

In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The scenes of harming Kurdish farmers and the unfair practices of preventing Kurdish farmers from returning to their lands bring to mind the images of the Anfal, chemical bombing, and genocide that our people were subjected to during the past century. These actions represent chauvinistic behavior and a lack of conscience. They are crimes committed against innocent Kurdish farmers in Kirkuk Governorate, who have no fault other than being Kurds and the original owners of the land.

Hence, I call on the Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Iraq, Mr. Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, to prevent the recurrence of this injustice, and to arrest the perpetrators of this crime so that they may receive their just punishment.

I also salute those heroic Kurds who resisted with steadfastness and courage the injustice, oppression, and attacks that befell them, and let them know well that they are not alone without a supporter or helper; we stand with them with all our strength to support their struggle and defend their rights and legitimate demands.
