The Commander of Peshmerga Dr Rowsch Nuri Shaways says the 'Islamic State' militants have been pushed back from many areas across Hassan sham and siodinan and manguba, and many other villages in the khazer,, that Kurdish forces have "cleansed" terrorists from where they were based.
It is acknowledged that the Kurds are the only ones fighting the Islamic State [since 16 August] on the ground. Anything that can help the Kurds fight IS will be welcomed from all political parties.
Along with weapons and ammunition, Kurdish forces were also in need of training, both in the use of modern weaponry but also in terms of military strategy and capacity building, the former deputy prime minister of Iraq and now finance minister Dr Rowsch Shaways.
