ICAPP Conference participants declare their support for Kurdish territory

At the official invitation of the Conference of Asian Political Parties, a delegation from the Kurdistan Democratic Party’s Foreign Relations Office highlighted the latest developments in the Kurdistan region. The delegation is led by the head of the FRO Hemin Hawrami, and includes his colleagues Lisa Kakhei and Abdoulsalam Zebari.

The conference, held in Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka, started today and will end on the 21st of September, is attended by representatives from 43 Asian countries, and representatives from their political parties. The KDP FR delegation held several meetings with representatives of the parties involved, including the Democratic Party of Japan, the delegations of parliaments from Indonesia, Russia, and Maldives, as well as the deputy speaker of the Sri Lankan parliament, the Cambodian People’s Party, and senior intellectuals from Asia.

During the meetings the KDP FR delegation spoke on the latest developments in the war against terrorism and the terrorist organisation ISIL. The parties expressed their support and sympathy alongside the Kurdish people. The parties also considered the Kurdistan region as a model of stability and progress in the region.
