A message from President Masoud Barzani

In the name of God, the almighty and compassionate 

 

Unfortunately, last night, as a result of the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist attacks, a number of brave Peshmerga were wounded and martyred while on duty in Kulajo in the Garmyan District. 

 

I express my condolences to their families, friends and loved ones and I share in their grief. I ask the Almighty God to rejoice the souls of these martyrs in paradise, and to provide patience and comfort to their families. I pray for a full and speedy recovery for those wounded. 

 

Martyrdom and sacrifice for the sake of protecting the homeland is of utmost pride and patriotism. We salute the pure souls of the martyrs in the fight against ISIS and all the martyrs of Kurdistan to the path of freedom and liberty.
