President of Kurdistan Region's message on terrorist attacks in Syria

In the name of God, the Beneficial, the Merciful.

I strongly condemn the brutal attacks on our brothers in Kobane by 'Islamic State' militants. These terrorists are threatening to exert their aggression on the people of Kurdistan, such threat against the dignity and honour of our people.

On this occasion, we call on all forces of Kurdistan to put aside their differences and unite to defend the dignity, land and the lives of citizens, as defending Kobane and the people of Kurdistan is the duty of all of us above other duties.

We also call on the international community to take the necessary urgent measures to protect the people of western Kurdistan. The threat of terrorists activity in Kobane will spread because ISIS is willing to commit crimes and atrocities so we must destroy and defeat every harm that ever comes in our way.
