Head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party Foreign Relations Office, Hemin Hawrami, accompanied with members of the FRO, received the representative of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI), Sokol Kondi, to discuss the latest political developments in the Kurdistan Region, and Peshmerga victories against terrorism. Kondi praised the courage and the valour of Peshmerga, who fight for Kurdistan, to defend the freedom of the Kurdish people, and democracy.
The two sides discussed bilateral relations between Baghdad and Erbil, and it was during this discussion where Hawrami stated that the Iraqi government has not made a positive step to implement the agreements between the parties.
He also stated that it is a natural right for people to do as they wish with the natural resources of the State.
The meeting concluded with Hawrami thanking the nations that assisted Iraqi Kurdistan, and emphasised on the United Nation’s role in the delivery of aid, and their assistance.
