Hawrami addresses the Istanbul Forum in seminar on latest developments in Kurdistan Region

Hemin Hawrami is participating at forum Istanbul: Regional Hub, Global Actor from 19-21 January that is being attended by high-profile international politicians and government officials where he delivered a seminar with focal topics including the current political and military developments in the Kurdistan Region and its battle against Islamic State militia.

Kurdistan Democratic Party's Head of Foreign Relations Office, Mr Hawrami emphasised on the role of President Massoud Barzani leading the driving force behind successful Peshmerga victories, addressed delegates on the strategic plans for the future of the region and interplay between the Kurdish peace process and the developments in Iraqi politics, as well as the dramatic events on the ground in Syria will shape the fate of the Kurds

His two-day trip comes after an official invitation from the event organisers Borsa Istanbul and the Turkish Exporters Assembly in cooperation with the Istanbul Financial Center Initiative. The forum is one of the most important international gatherings for politicians, think tanks, senior journalists and opinion makers from Turkey, the US, Europe and the Middle East.
