Foreign minister of Norway praises positive Peshmerga role in battle against ISIS

The Norwegian Foreign Minister Vernon Abbey Levine said his country’s government supports the Kurds and its Peshmerga forces in the battle against Islamic State militants and hailed the victories as a success.

Mr Levine said, following a meeting with Kurdistan Region President Massoud Barzani, that he was “pleased to see the Kurdish President making outstanding progress” and encourages further positive developments.

President Barzani expressed his thanks to the government of Norway for their support and said tackling terrorists needs great efforts and resistance.
