President Barzani meets Chancellor Merkel in Munich

Merkel reiterated to Kurdistan Region’s president that the German government will continue to pledge military support to Peshmerga in their battle against the Islamic State militants.

Last week, Germany sent 100 military advisers to train the Peshmerga and will send €13million worth of ammunition to Kurdistan.
