Barzani meets Vice President Biden in security conference in Germany

Kurdistan Region President Massoud Barzani held talks with the US Vice President Joe Biden on the sidelines of the security conference in Munich where world leaders and high ranking government officials are participating to discuss global issues, including the wars in Iraq and Syria.

The two sides conversed on regional developments in Kurdistan, the cooperation between Erbil and Baghdad and the on-going fight against Islamic State militants.

Additional US  and coalition assistance for Peshmerga forces during the intensification of operations against ISIS were also emphasised and Mr Barzani expressed his appreciation toward the allies support.
