President Masoud Barzani receives Gilbert Mitterrand

President Masoud Barzani received the son of Mrs. Danielle Mitterrand, Gilbert Mitterrand.

 

 At the meeting, President Barzani expressed his appreciation for the historical role of Mrs. Mitterrand in helping the people of Kurdistan, describing her as a great person and a good friend. He stressed that Mrs. Mitterrand's loyalty will never be forgetten by the Kurdish nation, and the Kurdish people, no matter what the price, did everything in their power to honor the memory of Mrs. Danielle Mitterrand for her loyalty to the people of Kurdistan.

 

 President Barzani thanked the current French president, the late President Francois Mitterrand and his wife, Danielle Mitterrand for their role in protecting the Kurdish people after the uprising.

 

 President Barzani also thanked the French people and the government of France for their support.

 

 In response, Gilbert Mitterrand expressed his gratitude to President Barzani and the Kurdish people for their loyalty to his mother.

 

 It is noteworthy that the French Ambassador to Iraq and the French Consul in Erbil were present at the meeting.
