KDP strengthens its diplomatic relations

Mr Hawrami highlighted President Massoud Barzani’s participation at the Munich Security Conference and his talks with Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel who expressed further humanitarian and military support for the Kurdistan Region.

Mr Hawrami, at the meeting, explained the KDP’s position and viewpoint on the war against Islamic State terrorists, that it will not tolerate its threat to peace in the region amid the current crisis which is destabilising cities and towns across the wider region and Iraq.

On enhancing relations with other western allies, delegates from the KDP FRO visited the consulates of Russia, Italy, China, South Korea and Egypt, its purpose to exchange views and talks of the security situation and the future of the region.
