Message from the President of Kurdistan Region in response to the PUK (parliament block)

Greetings,

I received a message from the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan(parliament block  [on 07/04/2015] about the arrest of Haidar Shashew  and I explain the following to you: after all the sacrifices made by our heroes in Zummar and Sinjar, which led to the breaking of the siege, defeating a terrorist strangle-hold in Mount Sinjar, this area became a military zone and the war continues with the Ministry of Peshmerga’s Chief of Staff supervising the fighting, so under this supervision is the management of a single command.

The group also compromises unhidden plots and other knowledge of management for the territory, sovereignty and powers, and we may give them time for up to two months to join the Ministry of Peshmerga and pledge support but they passed the deadline [30/03/2015] and they did not accept.

This is not a political aspect and is no affiliation to the Kurdistan Democratic Party, but the territory’s status and its desire will not be formed without Kurdish leadership and if necessary, outside of Peshmerga Ministry jurisdiction.

 

To clarify the issue, the problem starts from the old plot and we have sufficient evidence about receiving money donators and conspiracies that wanted to be rooted in Sinjar. Since the beginning of the issue, I have been talking with the brothers in the PUK around this concern and informed them of all the steps and I repeat, I cannot accept any military forces outside the government and orders Ministry of Peshmerga and form a strong, yet religious and national components, all of which are under the Ministry of Peshmerga that wishes to not issue with political and partisans.
