Hawrami participates at international forum in Russia

Hemin Hawrami participated at an international forum by official invitation held in Moscow and delivered a speech on developments in the Kurdistan Region and the ongoing battle against Islamic State (IS) militants.

The Head of Kurdistan Democratic Party's Foreign Relations Office discussed the success of the war that Kurdish Peshmerga forces are recording a number of victories in recapturing lost ground. He noted on the current developments in the region that bilateral and economic ties with key western states are being enhanced, in addition to establishing wider democratic governance.

Mr Hawrami also met politicians, academics and journalists where he praised the dissemination of Kurdish culture in Russia in an interview with Sputnik News Agency and Radio.
