Kurdistan Region President meets with King Abdullah in Amman

At the official at the invitation of His Majesty King Abdullah II, Kurdistan Region President Massoud Barzani arrived in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan today 21st May and received at Amman's international airport by Prince Faisal Bin Al Hussein, and a number of Saudi officials.

Mr Barzani and his accompanying delegation met with King Abdullah II at the royal palace at a meeting highlighting the political and security situation in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, and discussed the threats posed by Islamic State on the Middle East after recent turmoil in the Anbar province as well as relations between the two sides.

After the meeting, Mr Barzani and his accompanying delegation were invited for a lunch hosted by the Jordanian monarch.

Mr Barzani will also participate at the World Economic Forum on the Middle East and North Africa which will be held at the Dead Sea.
