Hawrami discuss ways to strengthen relations between the KDP and European Cypriot Party

A delegation from the Cyprus European Party, led by the party’s deputy leader Mr Georgios Kyprianidis visited the Kurdistan Democratic Party’s Foreign Relation Office where they were received by Hemin Hawrami head of KDP’s FRO.

At the meeting, both parties discussed about the current political and security developments in Kurdistan. Mr Kyprianidis praised the stability and economic progress of the region. The Cypriot delegation also expressed praise for the courage Kurdish Peshmerga forces for fighting on the ground against Islamic State terrorists and scoring a number of victories while stating that they will support the Kurdish people in the war against ISIS.

Hawrami welcomed the guest delegation and wished them a successful visit to Kurdistan and asked them to support the Kurdish people in their ordeal and make their voices heard through the European Union.

This was the first visit to the Kurdistan region by Cypriot party to discuss relations between the two sides.
