Mirani: What happened in Parliament was a misreading of policy of the province

Fadil Mirani, Secretary of the Kurdistan Democratic Party Political Bureau received at his office in Pirmam, the Consul General of the United Kingdom to Kurdistan, Angus McKee for talks on the latest aspects of the political situation in the region.

During the meeting, Mr Mirani mentioned the current war against Islamic State forces that KDP forces will use all its experiences to protect the interests of Kurdistan, and the ongoing disputes between Erbil and the central government in Baghdad, where external interferences are affecting interior matters in Iraq and Kurdistan rather than deepening relations and unifying Kurdish parties   We must consolidate and deepen relations between us

On the 23 June meeting in the Kurdistan Parliament, Mr Mirani said the errors - parliamentary speakers showing negligence toward Article 54 section 4 - in all its aspects would invite diplomats around the world for legal hearings to review the performances of the Parliamentary presidency or the formation of a new government, as to what happened was a misreading of the policy in the province.

As the KDP won a majority of votes in the election, it has the most powerful voice in Parliament and with that they distributed positions within parties because the KDP believes in dialogue and unity of Kurds.

For his part, Mr McKee thanked Mr Mirani for the opportunity of meeting him and he wished the Kurdish people more victories in this difficult era.
