Nechervan Barzani: We appreciate the US aid to Kurdistan

Kurdistan Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani received Stuart Jones, US Ambassador to Iraq and his accompanying delegation for talks on the security situation and Peshmerga forces.

During the meeting the US ambassador stressed his country's continued support for the Peshmerga forces, emphasising the bilateral relations between the two sides and development of these relations.

For his part, Mr Barzani thanked Mr Jones for his visit, expressed thanks to the government and the people of the United States in helping the people of Kurdistan during the ordeal fighting against Islamic State terrorists and the refugee crisis across the region

They discussed the latest developments and updates of Baghdad and Erbil relations and it was stressed that Kurdistan will negotiate with the central government to find an amicable solution to all problems.
