KDP delegation holds meetings in the EU

A Kurdistan Democratic Party delegation led by Hemin Hawrami and consisting of Muhammad Ali, Fayrouz Akrawi , Ali Halo members of Kurdistan p arliament and Dr nizar Ismail  is visiting Brussels for talks on the latest political and security situation.

By official invitation from the Konrad Adenauer Stifung (KAS), the delegation held separate meetings on 29 June with various European Union officials and leading think-tanks for talks on the war against Islamic State militants and the military operations in the Kurdistan Region – the meetings were held with: Ms. Rosemaria Gili, Deputy Head of Division, Arabian Peninsula, Iran and Iraq, European External Action Service

It was mentioned that the Peshmerga required advanced weaponry in order to effectively destroy Isis capabilities. They also addressed on the relations between Erbil and the central government in Baghdad, where it was emphasised that Baghdad is lacking to deliver on its commitment to the constitution.
