Mirani thanks the people and the Government of the United States’ for their support

PIRMAM, Fadil Mirani, the secretary of the Kurdistan Democratic Party Political Bureau received a former U.S. Congressman David Lincoln, in Pirmam. Mr Mirani mentioned that KDP forces would use their battleground experience to protect the interests of Kurdistan, as well as the ongoing disputes between Erbil and Baghdad where it was noted that external interferences are affecting interior relations in Kurdistan, and Iraq. Mirani, on his part, stated that the world need to provide further military assistance to Kurdistan, whilst thanking the people, and the government of the United States of America, for their assistance.

The meeting was finalised with Lincoln thanking Mirani for the meeting, and praised the actions and courage of Peshmerga forces, as well as praising the determination of the Kurdish people for the situation in the region. Lincoln is currently lobbying for an increase in arms and support for Peshmerga forces
