LONDON, A Kurdish organisation, Kurdish Progress, in the presence of media, politicians, and acemdics, hosted Hemin Hawrami in a political forum to discuss the reasons for the emergence of ISIS.
The head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party’s Foreign Relations Office stated that Maliki’s government was on the reasons for the emergence of ISIS. They had already controlled territory within Iraq, and advanced further by gaining weapons from Iraqi army camps.
Hawrami noted the victories of Peshmerga forces, and the policy of Kurdistan is to liberate all areas and to keep them outside the border, and eliminate them permanently.
On the topic of independence, Kurdistan has confirmed that the provincial government intended to hold a referendum on this subject.
Whilst in London he met Luis Ayala Secretary General of Socialist-International to discuss the latest political developments in Kurdistan.
He also visited Chatham House the Royal Institute of International Affairs, met Dr Neil Quilliam Acting Head of Middle East and Tim Head of Syrian department, they discussed the political situation in Kurdistan and relations between Baghdad and Erbil and neighboring countries`
