LONDON, during his stay, the Kurdistan Democratic Party’s local committee of London held a seminar for Hemin Hawrami, the head of the KDP’s Foreign Relations Office, for the Kurdish community.
During the seminar Hawrami spoke on the latest political developments in Kurdistan and the war on terror – including Kurdistan Peshmerga’s victories, and the relations between the political parties in Kurdistan. Hawrami specified that the KDP always emphasise on the compatibility between the components of Kurdistan.
He stated that the government formed on the basis of a consensus, as well as positions in Parliament regarding the situation on the presidency. Hawrami then stressed that the KDP insists that the president shall be elected through elections, by the people and not by parliament, as it is a legal right to elect a president directly.
