British Liberal Democrats Party emphasise support for the Kurdish people

By official invitation from the British Liberal Democrats, Head of Communications at the Kurdistan Democratic Party’s Foreign Relations Office Sherko Habeb participated at their 27th annual conference where he met and discussed Kurdish developments with fellow delegates and party leader, Tim Farron.

At the ceremony held exclusively for diplomats, Mr Habeb expressed the greetings of KDP’s leadership to Mr Farron, wishing him success in his role. While discussing the latest political and security situation in the Kurdistan Region, Mr Farron said he fully supports the Kurds, and that he respects their democratic principles, favouring the idea of an independent Kurdish state.

During the outset of the reception, Mr Habeb also met with a number of external relations officials where they exchanged views on developments occurring in Kurdistan and focused on the role of President Massoud Barzani on strengthening the foundations of democracy and coexistence between Kurdish national and religious components.
