KDP foreign relations official attends annual British Labour Party conference

The Head of Communications at the Kurdistan Democratic Party’s Foreign Relations Office Sherko Habeb participated at the annual conference of the British Labour Party where he met and discussed Kurdish developments with fellow delegates and its party leader, Jeremy Corbyn, held at the city of Brighton during a 5-day event.

At the conference, he met with many political figures of the Labour Party, including its General Secretary of Iain McNicol, and Shadow Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Hilary Ben.

Mr Habeb expressed the greetings of KDP’s leadership while discussing the latest political and security situation in the Kurdistan Region and the development and strengthening of relations between the KDP and Labour.

He also met with a number of external relations officials where they exchanged views on developments occurring in Kurdistan and focused on the role of President Massoud Barzani on strengthening the foundations of democracy and coexistence between Kurdish national and religious components.

Mr Habeb met with many political figures and diplomatic delegations from Egypt, Palestine, Japan, Korea, Cyprus, Bangladesh, Republic of Ireland, and Luis Ayala, Secretary General of the Socialist International and Ann Clwyd, British political figure. During these meetings, they talked about bilateral relations between KDP and Labour and ways to enhance their relationship.
