The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government Nechirvan Barzani delivered a televised speech on the recent events that has taken place in recent days, and the political crisis in the province of Kurdistan.
Mr Barzani said in the speech that the peaceful demonstrations have become a victim of narrow political benefits.
In addition, the Kurdish premier said the recent turmoil in Kurdistan was a reminder and revocation that the expression of opinion by the right of citizens to demonstrate peacefully foundation and important part of the democratic region.
He said, "The time to assess the situation in our country, and as prime minister has come and I saw that it was necessary to give clarification about the events of last week and then sit down to discuss what can be done in this regard."
He continued, saying, "This clique tried to rescind the fabric of the province of Kurdistan, without taking into account the responsibility, although this has angered a small group but the decision is official, and the moderate majority dominated. Because we are going through a difficult phase in our political life."
Mr Barzani continued, saying, "We have had in the distant and recent past, the circumstances of the toughest conditions, and if these difficulties faced the people another may bow, but we will continue the march of our steadfastness."
On the violent demonstrations, Mr Barzani added "it demonstrates citizens' right to liberty which is an important part of a democratic region, but I am upset by the events Qaladiza and Kalar, cities and other towns. My heartfelt condolences goes out to the families of the martyrs and I hope for a fast healing of the wounded who have been subjected to assault."
