Secretary of the Kurdistan Democratic Party’s Political Bureau, Fadhil Merani, received the British ambassador to Iraq, Frank Baker.
The meeting consisted of talks regarding the latest military and political situations in the Region. Merani spoke on the victories gained by Peshmerga, led by President Barzani along with the support of coalition forces against the terrorist organisation, ISIS. Merani also mentioned that the war and financial unsteadiness requires a sustainable effort for a unified Region.
Head of KDP Foreign Relations Office, Hemin Hawrami, was also in attendance at this meeting to strengthen relations with the British ambassador.
For his part, the British ambassador voiced his support for Kurdistan, and stated the world is looking with respect towards the Peshmerga’s victories led by Barzani.
