Hawrami: Strengthening of ISIS is a threat to Europe

The Head of KDP’s Foreign Relations Office extended the appreciation on behalf of the KDP leadership to Swedish’s government and people for their support in the region’s battle against terrorists.

Hemin Hawrami welcomed Désirée Pethrus, member of the Swedish Parliament (The Christian Democrats) and her accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, Mr Hawrami pointed to the latest political developments in the region and the point of view of the Kurdistan Democratic Party about outstanding issues between the Kurdish parties and relations with Baghdad.

He requested from the Swedish delegation that the Swedish government Pressure on the European Union to increase humanitarian and military aid to Kurdistan he added that the strengthening of ISIS is a threat to Europe.

From her part, Ms Pethurs praised the political situation and economic stability in Kurdistan especially in the Middle East region while conducting political conflicts with religious and nationalist components.

Mrs Pethurs is member of the Christian Democratic Party which has 16 seats in the Swedish Parliament.
