Hemin Hawrami, head of Kurdistan Democratic Party's Foreign Relations Office, stressed the depth and importance of historical relations between the Kurdish people and the people of Kuwait since the 70s.
Hawrami received the General Consul of Kuwait to Kurdistan, Dr. Omar Al-Kandari, to discuss the latest political developments in the region Hawrami reviled the Consul General of the State of Kuwait.
During the meeting, Hawrami pointed out the position of the Kurdistan Democratic Party regarding the events and changes that took place recently.
He also thanked, on behalf of the Kurdish people, the government and the people of Kuwait for their assistance provided to Kurdistan, whilst stressing to consolidate and strengthen these relations. Hawrami pointed to the party's position of support for democracy in Turkey because they serve the peace process.
For his part, the Kuwaiti Consul General stated the struggle of the Kurdistan Democratic Party as an excellent model in the political struggle to achieve the goals of peoples to freedom and democracy, and praised the positive role of President Barzani for the advancement of Kurdistan.
