Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Nechirvan Barzani, declared "It is our right to demand, as Kurds, our independence; we do not want to remain with Iraq by force."
Barzni expressed their relationship with Turkey is a relationship between strategy, and not at the expense of any party. He also mentioned that Turkey played a major role in helping the Kurdistan Region's economy since the early 90s.
Regarding the current situation in Kurdistan, Barzani declared that unity is the main priority, and policies have been implemented to keep the Region stable.
Barzani also spoke on the relationship with Baghdad and stated that the returns to negotiations does not insinuate failure on the policy for oil.
