Hawrami in Netherlands gathering support for Kurds

Kurdistan Democratic Party's Head of Foreign Relations Office Mr Hemin Hawrami is visiting the Netherlands for talks with representatives from Dutch political parties and parliamentarians in efforts to strengthen relations and boost European cooperation.

During his meetings with members of the KDP Netherlands branch in attendance, Mr Hawrami discussed the political and military developments in the Kurdistan region, highlighting the momentum of Peshmerga scoring a number of victories against the Islamic State terrorists organisation and the courage of the Kurdish people.

The Netherlands currently provide Kurdish Peshmerga forces with a year-long combat training program as part of the government's campaign against the Islamic State militants.
