On the occasion of the Feast of Gemaiya, I extend my warmest congratulations to all Yazidis in Kurdistan and around the world.
The Yazidis are a beloved and inseparable part of the people of Kurdistan. Despite the many miseries and hardships that have befallen our Yazidi brothers and sisters—and the illegal and unusual situation imposed on Sinjar and its surrounding areas for decades, which remains a source of concern—through great faith and perseverance, the Yazidi Kurds continue to celebrate their religious holidays and festivals peacefully and freely.
On this occasion, I emphasize that it is the duty of all parties to protect and strengthen the culture of coexistence and unity among all religious and national components in Kurdistan.
May your holiday be blessed, and may you remain in good health and happiness.
