Hawrami and Qazaz express optimism on bilateral relations

The Head of Kurdistan Democratic Party’s Foreign Relations Office Hemin Hawrami visited the Consulate of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Erbil and received by Walid Qazaz for talks on relations between the two sides.

Mr Hawrami asserted the firmness of friendly and distinguished ties with Jordan during a meeting with the Consul General, Mr Qazaz, where he also conveyed the support of the KDP in his new role.

On the victories achieved by Kurdish Peshmerga forces, Mr Qazaz expressed his congratulations toward the KDP for successfully liberating the strategic town of Sinjar from so-called Islamic State (IS) group, wishing for advanced progress and stability in the Kurdistan region.

In other aspects of the meeting, the two sides conversed on regional issues of mutual concern discussing wide-ranging topics covering security and economic developments in Kurdistan.

Both sides reaffirmed the long-standing and warm relations between the two countries
