Kurdistan Democratic Party's Head of Foreign Relations Office Hemin Hawrami discussed the latest political and military developments in the Kurdistan region at a meeting with Patrick Geysen, from the European Union Liaison Office in Erbil.
Mr Hawrami mentioned that the KDP serves with effect the best interests of the people and not for any other gains while adding that terms of agreement with the Gorran (Change) Movement had expired and now parties are drafting new amendments.
On the military campaigns, Mr Hawrami stressed the Kurdish strategy was to eradicate the extremists group Islamic State from the region by launching further offensives.
For his part, Mr Geysen expressed praise for Peshmerga forces and emphasised on additional European support.
