The British Liberal Democrats and Kurdistan Democratic Party stressed the importance of bilateral relations between the two sides.
This came during a meeting between Mr Sherko Habeb, Head of KDP's Communications Office and Ms Harriet Shone, International Officer for Lib Dems.
They highlighted the latest developments and political situation in Kurdistan where Mr Habeb gave an explanation about the conditions of the region and updated on the military victories of the Kurdish Peshmerga forces, most notably the latest operation of Sinjar, which was under terrorists control until President Massoud Barzani led his forces to liberate the city.
He also pointed to the relationship between the Kurdish parties and especially after the riots that took place against the headquarters of KDP; stressing that the KDP prefers to solve problems and differences through dialogue.
The KDP have sacrificed aplenty in order to bring co-existence and unity of the Kurdistan people.
Speaking about the agreement with the Change (Gorran) Movement, Mr Habeb noted that the agreement had been cancelled because Gorran could not reconcile during the last period to work for the benefit of Kurdistan and attempted to destabilise Kurdistan.
On relations between Erbil and Baghdad, which has been the focus of recent meetings across Kurdistan and Iraq, they discussed the various options to resolve all outstanding issues.
For her part, Ms Shone thanked Mr Habeb for providing analysis and information while stressing the bilateral relations between the two parties adding it is of mutual benefit. She confirmed British support for the people of Kurdistan and to strengthen relations accordingly.
During the meeting, Mr Habeb passed documents and CDs containing violations that took place against the headquarters of KDP.
