President Barzani receives Sudanese consul delegation for talks on bilateral relations

President of Kurdistan Region Massoud Barzani received a delegation headed by the Consul General of Sudan in Erbil, Yassin Awaaz Ismail for talks on bilateral relations and the current situation in the region.

The Sudanese Consul General emphasised on the importance of the bilateral relations between Kurdistan and Sudan, saying that his country looks at the region as an important stability factor in the Middle East.

He also praised the role of the security and Peshmerga forces in protecting the security and stability of the Region surrounded by turmoil and instability.

Mr Barzani expressed his pleasure in meeting the Sudanese delegation and praised relations between the two sides, adding that they are expecting from the allies and friends to assist the Kurdistan Region in the war against ISIS as it an international threat which requires the cooperation of countries to counter it.
