The Head of KDP's Foreign Relations Office, Mr Hawrami, focused on the prospect of Kurdish independence

As part of ongoing diplomatic efforts to promote the ethics and policies of the Kurdistan Democratic Party and to enhance closer alliances with the United States, Hemin Hawrami participated in a video-conference to discuss topics of interest with Dr Sasha Toperich from the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University in Washington.

The Head of KDP's Foreign Relations Office, Mr Hawrami, focused on the prospect of Kurdish independence, which may come soon if a referendum on the matter is held this year, the political climate in the region and military developments where a number of international allies are aiding Peshmerga forces who are actively combatting against militants.
