Saturday, November 22, 2025 Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrur Barzani met with Nuri al-Maliki, head of the State of Law Coalition.

According to a statement from the Kurdistan Regional Government, they discussed the overall situation in Iraq following the parliamentary elections and the ongoing efforts and negotiations among political parties to form a new federal government. Both sides agreed on the importance of resolving issues between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government in accordance with the constitution and existing agreements.
