During the meeting, they discussed the progress and options regarding the formation of the next cabinet of the federal government. The ambassador expressed his hope that in the near future, the federal government and the Kurdistan Region Government would be formed so that both sides can carry out their responsibilities.
The Head of the Foreign Relations Office expressed his concerns about the overall situation of the Palestinian people, particularly in Gaza, and voiced his hope for an end to the current crisis. He referred to the recent decision of the UN Security Council and the calls by the United States and other world countries to end the war and suffering in Gaza.
They also discussed the situation in the region, Iraq, and the conditions of the Palestinians residing and studying in the Kurdistan Region. Mr. Siwaily reaffirmed the Kurdistan Democratic Party’s support for them so that they may complete their studies in peace and dignity and later serve their people and homeland.
