Masrour Barzani receives the US Ambassador to discuss the current political and security situation in Kurdistan

The Chancellor of the Kurdistan Regional Security Council Masrour Barzani stressed that they must find a common formula to activate the work of the joint forces of the Mosul liberation process.

Mr Barzani discussed during a meeting with Stuart E. Jones the Ambassador of the United States of America to Iraq, the latest developments of war against terror ISIS in Mosul and Anbar, and the Peshmerga victories in Sinjar, the impact of these achievements and stressed the importance of defeating ISIS in the city of Mosul.

The two sides conversed on the economic crisis in Kurdistan, the US ambassador pointed that Washington understands the financial headship and reaffirmed support for Kurdistan Peshmerga forces, stressing on the need for more assistance to the region by the international coalition.

They concluded the meeting discussing other areas of mutual interest.
