Fadhil Mirani has said all political parties in the Kurdistan region are responsible for implementing measures to address the outstanding differences and resolving internal disputes.
The KDP’s Chief Secretary of the Politico Bureau made his comments during a meeting with a delegation from the ruling Swedish Social Democratic Party, which was attended by, Mahmoud Mohammed, Jaffar Ibrahim and Ramzi Shaban, all members of the politico bureau, and Head of Foreign Relations Office Hemin Hawrami
The delegation expressed support of the efforts made toward resolving internal differences and addressing the current crisis. In this regard, in the interests of all the people of the Kurdistan Region, they informed their programme includes meetings with political parties to encourage unity.
Speaking about the internal differences, Mr Mirani said that all the problems can be solved through peaceful dialogue and mutual understanding, and added that KDP is ready for negotiations with all parties, but without preconditions.
Secretary Mirani also noted that regarding the right to self-determination a referendum will be conducted in the Kurdistan Region and the results will be presented to Baghdad in a spirit of peaceful discussion.
For his part, Jens Orback, secretary-general at the Olof Palme International Centre, praised the courage of the people of Kurdistan and said his country is respectful toward the military and security services for protecting their region in countering terrorism.
The Swedish delegation also consisted of Frederik Malm, member of Sweden’s Parliament, Marten Lofberg, deputy international secretary of SDP, Isak Svensson and Helin Sahin, advisors of the party
